We are excited to announce Desirae Mearns as our featured speaker as she leads us through a discussion on the ABC's of Medicare.

Desirae Mearns is the Director of the SHINE/BEC program for Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast.  She has her MBA from Florida Atlantic University, Six Sigma Greenbelt in Healthcare, and 5 years of experience with Medicare coordination with the Area Agency on Aging of Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast.  She manages 60 volunteers, 5 team members and 19 sites throughout 5 counties to support the program in providing FREE and Unbiased Medicare counseling and benefit application assistance to the community.

Join SHINE in navigating the A,B,C, D and Medigap parts of Medicare.  This presentation will provide an overview of Medicare paths, enrollment periods and financial assistance options for Medicare Beneficiaries.  We will also discuss how to reach the SHINE program to make appointments for personal counseling sessions available by phone during this period.
